I consider that the plot of the text begins exactly at the moment in which Bernard and Lenina travel to the savage reservation, where they know a new world, in terms of actions, appearance and behavior of the population that inhabited it; This fact is very important and is essential because thanks to this trip the main characters know John and Linda, his  mother, who tell them all their life story, and allows them to generate changes within their society in London,  all the events of the director, the impact that john generates on society why

for the difference that it transmitted in all the senses, and also for the fact of having been born through natural procreation and not as was customary originally in utopia, socailes classes, with levels of beauty, cognition and abilities, specific behaviors for each of them and also the jobs in which they worked.

Today I will analyze one of the symbols found in the literary text, and I think it is very important in it, it is the Soma, definitely, the best way for the government to control the population, it is a tranquilizer and also generates that the population is submitted to a perspective of the unreal world, this makes them forget that they are controlled by a greater force; it is described by mustafa as "euphoric, naecotica, pleasantly hallucinatory".

Finally, we can realize that bernard is the only one that is "revealed" against the soma, throwing it out the window, but this is a failed action since it generates so much addiction (specifically to happiness), that it generates that this submitted to this forever.
  

Characters development

hello, welcome to my blog again, this time I will focus on the description and analysis of the characters of the literary text "brave new world"; I'm going to start saying the characters that I identify within it; two main characters and one secondary character; However, I think it is important to mention an amniscent character, this is because it is the one that starts the book and allows the main contextualization that unfolds in the literary text, DHC, basically  is the one that ensures that everything works perfectly within utopia, explains the whole process of creation of humanity within this "world" and defines himself as a rigorous figure; he is a character that does not evolve in his psychology and behavior so it can be said that he is a flat character.

Now, moving towards to the main characters I identify that Lenina and Bernard are those who fulfill these characteristics since all the facts of the book are developed through their attitudes, actions and decisions; Bernard is an Alpha plus that is blindly in love with Lenina (as it is very normal in Utopia), despite being of the highest category, he has some physical defects that abruptly affect his emotional development, he has a negative way of seeing life; in fact, in a part of the text he consumes SOMA (drug that basically makes you happy) something that he almost never did since he is not a compulsive consumer, as is most of the community, anyway, when the effect of this was ending and he saw everyone and everything around him he felt uncomfortable, as if it were something strange, unrecognizable. in account of the type of character that Bernard takes in the literary text, he is a static character since he does not present any evolution in his characteristics during the course of the book, his social ideology continues intact as well as his "feelings", this may be due to the disconnection with the environment in which he is present or perhaps because of his lack of emotion for life, or maybe because of his sensitive insecurity? . Finally, it is a complex character because he has different types of characteristics that make him have a constant internal debate about itself and about the decisions he must make. On the other hand we find Lenina which belongs to Beta, is a very attractive woman with a very large sexual desire, so her goal is not to fall in love, on the contrary, is to enjoy all the sexual pleasures, this is due to the hypnopedia; At work , she is in charge of supervising the reproduction department; She is described as a libertine and promiscuous woman. I consider that it is a round character as it evolves according to the fact that the events happen, in a natural way, however I consider that she is a very predictable character since she represents behaviors and ideas that are well known for what could be classified as a character stereotype, finally his characterization of dynamic character goes very hand in hand with his classification of character as it has modifications.

Finally, Mustafa is the secondary character, this is because he is one of the most important leaders of the society, which greatly influences the attitudes of the main characters (by the laws), is one of the few inhabitants who feel a taste for literature, in the book says that he likes to read Shakespeare, in the other hand I think it is important to mention that the course of the literary text shows us how is his perfect idea of the world and its reasons for modifying it.

every time I am more surprised by this book, the characters inspire me to think about current society and its functioning, I really find an interesting analogy, for all lovers of literature this is definitely a good book, I recommend it.

Space and Time

Welcome again to my blog ; I started to read the book, for the English class the teacher asked us to perform an analysis of the time and space that we found on the literary text, so first I´m going to start with the spaces, Im going to mention two, the general that is where the whole book was developed, and the specific ones, that is, the places where concise events happened. Most of the story takes place in London and its surroundings which is an open and real space, a city founded by the Romans in 43, located on the banks of the River Thames, southwest of the island of Great Britain; There we find two important spaces where most of the situations happen which are the research center and the building of departments, both are real and closed spaces since there is no environmental feature inside. Continuing with the other aspect, I analyze the environmental and unreal time that is evidenced in a great way in the town since as the book says it is a ghost town "this is the mouth of the abyss here nobody exists all are dead"; On the other hand as for the time of the narrative I consider that it is written chronologically, without taking into account how the facts are located in the book "before Ford and after Ford. finally, I found that historically the events take place approximately 632 of the Fordian era.

Introduction

Welcome to my blog of  "Brave New World" the book that I am reading in English class, written by Aldous Huxley ; So far I have read the introduction of the book where two points of view are put forward by Margaret Atwood and David Bradshaw; I think it is going to be a great book because it let us analyze the society consumption in each person , it also propose the indicated definition of the world and all the aspects that make it up, without taking into account that representation is made through "fiction", this is evidenced since there is a drug "soma", which controls the individual behavior in society and the treatment humans develops in coexistence which leads to the discussion of the utopia and dystopia concepts, according to Margaret; On the other hand, it is a book developed in the past years, what allows the author  to relate political terms of the time with the advance in society, as is totalitarianism, that is when power is taken by a single person or party in an authoritarian manner, which fits perfectly since everyone is dominated; i see that there are many things to explore so I will continue to read and inquire the book, I think it has an interesting development with important positions of reality.
